I could not find out relationship between Mu’tazilite school of thought and these scientists. I don’t know how these scientists belong to that group.. Were they non believers??? What I know that they are always remembered as Muslim Scientists. First time i have heard such comments…
I think we should know about our past and should not ignore it at least. These inventions are simple because they were invented in very early ages.. These inventions give foundations to various huge inventions..a huge invention cannot be invented in one day… West did not climb at top in one day… Today we are influenced from west and likewise non-Muslims of previous times were influenced by Islamic civilization and science was one of the most important aspects…
Quran and Hadith emphacise muslims to seek knowledge and wisdom and to ponder upon their surroundings. Allah taala says to muslims to explore this universe, the earth, its animals and plants. But who are doing this all nowadays… Non Muslims (in majority).. I don’t think if muslims are not that much successful as west, this is because they are very close to their religion which teaches us honesty and hard work, and are passing most of their time in wazu and praying… If we talk only about nationalities,I don’t know how and how much muslim countries can take benefit from it in terms of science and technology .I think we should talk about solidarity among muslim countries too. what was the need to make OIC then? Past is past and future is waiting for us. Todays muslims can do anything if they really want to do and work hard…Frankly,i don’t know the names of world known scientists both in muslims and non muslims in modern times..but If i take the name of three Pakistani scientists i.e. Dr. Abdulsalam, Dr. Abdulqadeer, Dr. Afia,, just see their rewards that they got…. But I think this all should not be discussed here. because I don't want to extend this discussion as we are getting too much away from the topic. The purpose of the post was to share contribution of Muslims scientists in past...
